POP CAN DRIVE FUNDRAISER FOR SENIOR HIGH MISSION TRIP.
The Senior High youth are conducting a can drive as a fundraiser. Please clean out your garages and cars then bring the bags of cans (and bottles) to church. There will be a designated area in Fellowship Hall for the items. The Senior High youth will be going to Benton Harbor, MI in July for the mission trip.

---The St. Paul Presbyterian Church in Johnston had a wonderful turnout for their Vacation Bible School, with the program entitled "Power Lab." Kids were there to learn about the power of God, and had a great with singing, Bible studies, crafts, games and fun!
---The Power Lab Bible themes included; Jesus gives us the power to be thankful, to help others, to be brave, to live forever, and to tell others about Jesus. They sang lively songs every day. Crafts included making slime, buddy beakers, incredi-balls, and a prayer wristband. The beads on the wristband helped kids remember to think about others who may not be as fortunate. A blue bead would remind them to pray for kids who lived near the ocean, the red ones were a reminder to pray for kids who live where it's hot, the white beads for kids who live where it is snowy and so on. |
